Frequently asked Questions

What happens when the body is detoxing and the Be Loved Cleanse process.

My 1:1 sessions are ideal for addressing concerns you have about your specific health and body needs and changes you want to make.

NO! You do not have to follow the schedule exactly. It is just a guide and the important thing is that you take a few days or a week to flood yourself with nutrition and stimulate your body’s own natural detoxification process.

No coffee during the cleanse because you want to give your adrenals a break. Instead have a cup of green tea or a turmeric latte, or any other herbal tea you may fancy.

Many of my clients say they lose weight during the cleanse. It definitely resets your body and metabolism, and provides a great foundation for continued weight loss.

Some cleansers get hungry and some don’t. Hunger is a psychological reaction to having less food through out the day. If your hunger is unbearable during the cleanse program, do not be critical of yourself- it’s totally ok to eat. Eat as much salad, cucumbers, apples, carrots or celery sticks and dates as you need. Don’t worry that you’ll be ruining the cleanse- you won’t be! Often if you are on a cleanse and experiencing hunger it is a sign that you are thirsty. Drink lots to flush the mobilised toxins that are being released by the juices from the body.

Drink 6-8 glasses of water daily – this is very important to flush your lymphatic system and support immunity. If your temperature runs cold, drink warm water.

You may add collagen peptides (ideally from organic grass-fed beef or a vegan version if you are vegetarian or vegan) to your soups or salad dressings. Stick to up to 3 scoops per day.

Usually headaches are a common response of the body cleansing. Toxins are being released by the juices you are drinking, therefore please increase your water intake to flush them out. You can also take chlorella which helps to bind the toxins to more effectively flush them out.

During a cleanse you may experience your digestion to be slower or faster than usual. This can result in constipation, diarrhoea, or gas and bloating, particularly if your usual diet does not include a lot of fiber, vegetables, fruits and/or liquids. Some people’s digestive systems will need some time to adapt.

Any gas and bloating can go away on its own once the bacteria in your digestive tract have had time to adjust to the increased fiber load. The Be Loved Cleanse programs support your digestive tract with enzymes, triphala and probiotics.

It’s very important to keep the bowels moving on this cleanse so if you tend towards constipation, consider taking 3-4 Triphala at night. This is a very gentle, non habit-forming combination of three Indian fruits that tonify and nourish the lining of the intestine to produce bigger, more frequent bowel movements.

Because my cleanse programs feature food and juices, it’s fine to continue taking your regular supplements.

As often as it feels right for your body. I have clients who do the cleanse every week that it is available, others do it quarterly or twice a year. Others like to cleanse before a special event, when they have acute health condition, or to recover from surgery. Whatever your reason, it is completely fine to participate as often as it feels good for you.

I always recommend engaging in activities or practices that work to lift your spirit throughout the cleanse. Try meditation, yoga, breath work, nature walks, reading inspiring books, painting, or dancing. Pairing lifestyle changes with nutrition changes is a really powerful combination!

Yes, I provide a guide to coming off your cleanse, and integrating new habits into your lifestyle.

No, but I highly recommend organic and local wherever possible. If cost or sourcing is an issue, see the Clean 15 and Dirty Dozen produce guide.
